Here's what you need to know about the ECEC Transition Ceremony celebrating Head Start students transitioning to kindergarten next year! (Don't forget to enroll your student at Salt River Elementary School!)

Gates open at 9:30 a.m.

The ECEC parking lot is designated for elders and people with disabilities. If you park in the nearby residential area, use the crosswalk on Center Street and walk on the sidewalk. Please watch for vehicles.

Event Entrance/Exit: All individuals must sign in and guests will be directed to the ceremony. No other gates will be used as an exit.

Seating accommodations for elders or people with a disability are available.

Promoting Class Seating is available for the family in the front rows (limit 2 seats per student). Once the class is presented, the children will return to the classroom. Individuals will leave the promoting class seating area and allow the next classroom guests to find a seat.

General seating is available on a first come, first served basis; you may bring your own chairs.

Ceremony

  • 10 a.m. Welcome and prayer
  • 10:10 a.m. Presentation of Student (ORDER: Butterfly, Bobcat, Eagle, Cottontail, Quail, Turtle)

Sign Out: All ECEC students must be signed out in ProCare.

No smoking, drinking or gang attire is permitted. The SRPD Gang Task Force will be attending. When in doubt: Don’t wear it.
