Preschool Program

The Early Childhood Education Center is tribal and federally funded to provide comprehensive education and developmental services to preschool-aged children. The preschool program is designed to prepare children for Kindergarten and includes an age appropriate education with an emphasis on math and literacy skills. Other services include health and nutrition, developmental screenings, and parent training and workshops. Support services for the entire family are available and parent involvement is encouraged as well.

HOURS:

  • Part Day Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (no charge)
  • Full day hours: 7:00 AM- 6:00 PM
    • Child must attend at least 5 hrs per day
    • Parents must be working or in school full time
  • Bus service provided for students living in the community
  • Eligibility guidelines include child’s age and residency
  • Children do not have to be toilet trained to enroll
  • Children must be 3 yrs old by aug. 31 of current school year to apply
  • Children must live in the srpmic to be eligible
  • Nutritious meals and snacks provided
  • Children with disabilities are encouraged to apply

Applications are available at the Early Childhood Education Center located at 4815 N. Center St. Scottsdale, AZ 85256. 
Please provide the following documentation: child’s birth certificate and current immunization record, tribal ID card (for full day care), and proof of income for the previous twelve months.
